We just came to terms with the fact that our organization is cooler than our logo, time for a redesign, who is up for the challenge?
Our logo is like that favorite pair of jeans that we used to love, but now just look a bit dated. We are looking for something less like a charity your grandfather would donate to.
You can either re-design the logo or just throw in some new graphical ideas that will help move us forward in the design process. You can see our current logo here http://www.dropinthebucket.org/dropinthebucketlogo.jpg
Here's some info about us and what we're doing:
Drop in the Bucket is a Los Angeles based water charity that constructs wells and sanitation systems at large rural schools in sub-Saharan Africa. Since forming in 2006, we have completed over 160 projects in six different countries.
Here's some info about what the logo should look like:
The logo needs to look great big painted on the side of one of our trucks, or small on top of our Twitter page.
for the font: you decide, or even create your own lettering, we aren't married to anything.
Our last benefit concert was designed by Shepard Fairey and had Henry Rollins as the host, so you don't have to play it too safe.
Here are some other ideas to get you started:
It doesn't have to be literal, we don't need something with water dropping into a bucket -unless you can think of a way to make that look awesome of course. We just want something great that people will remember. We love this poster Shepard Fairey did for us, but it works better as a poster than a logo.
One last thing, the design doesn't have to literally feature drops of water or buckets, we use the name to signify the fact that it doesn't take much to make a huge difference if what you do is well applied, so what we are looking for is something that looks cool as a symbol. It can incorporate the words Drop in the Bucket, but doesn't necessarily have to. We just want something that you would love to have on a sticker or t-shirt that stands out and looks cool.
Thanks so much!
