Let's be honest. Fundraising is hard work. Our neighborhood was hit hard by the April 27th tornadoes that tore through Alabama.  Many of our students lost everything they had.  Homes were left in rubble.  Some of our students are still living in temporary housing almost a year later.  Holding a prom may not seem like a big deal.  But, our students need to get back to living again.  Our school is a Title school, so it is  located in a high poverty area anyway. With the economy the way it is, the "raising" part of fundraising is getting harder and harder.   We'd love it if you could help us come up with a bunch of new ideas.

Tanner High School Prom Committee

We have "sold" personalized parking spaces around campus and taken orders for fan gear (Tanner t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hoodies).  We would love to be able to rent a location and hire a DJ but everything is just so expensive.  I have asked for use of the school gym that was not damaged in the tornadoes.  But, we will need funds for supplies to decorate it.  We will sell prom tickets also, but some of our students will have trouble attending prom if we price the tickets too high.  The committee has selected Hollywood as the theme for the prom...red carpet and all.
