You Go Girl!
I am blessed to be able to spend my day with students as they become better readers. I need your help finding the right books to use with a small group (3 girls) of 8th grade students. These girls are stuggling readers that have made gains and are ready to tackle some novels. I need help choosing which books to use with them. I want the texts to have positive messages that will encourage these girls to plan for and work toward a successful future. I want books with strong female characters that have overcome difficulties by choosing to be positive and working hard. Please help me brainstorm these book titles and help me decide which will best help my students learn that they can be successful!
