In a neighborhood of over 150,000 people who do not even have a local newspaper to turn to, we hope to serve as the virtual town square of Crown Heights. Our online presence is complimented by our equally strong “on-the-ground” presence, where we engage in projects such merchant organizing, community greening and cleaning, and art expos. Crown Heights is experiencing a renaissance. And our mission is to see this culturally rich neighborhood regarded as a premier NYC destination. Our contributors are a mixture of longtime Crown Heights residents and recent transplants, renters and homeowners, and just as diverse racially and ethnically. To that end we embody the diversity that makes this Brooklyn village such an invigorating place to reside. read less
